Listing Period Duration –
The length of time you are legally obligated to your current realtor.
Commission – It is understandable in any industry,
including realty, the amount of commission is proportional to the
service received. The realtor will not receive his or her commission
until all of the contractual obligations are met (including finding
a buyer).
MLS (Multiple
Listing Service) – This will authorize your agent to
post your home on the MLS database. This electronic database is a
shared resource used by all agents and can deliver your home to a
large number of potential buyers. The database is open to the public
and allows others to view the basic details about your house.
Price – Both the desired and the minimal acceptable
sale price should be specified.
